Who Am I?
WHO AM I?
I was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). While I was in my mother’s womb, He knitted me together (Psalms 139:13-17).
He chose me (John 15:16) and bought me for a price (1 Corinthians 6:20). The price was his blood and through it I have redemption (Ephesians 1:7-8) and forgiveness of sin (1 John 1:9).
Because of the shedding of His blood and what He did on the cross, I am a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me (Galatians 2:20).
Since Christ lives in me and bought me for a price there is now no condemnation for me (Romans 8:1) and I am free from the bondage of sin (Romans 6:18).
I am now considered a child of God (John 1:12, Galatians 3:26, Ephesians 1:5) and Christ calls me a friend (John 15:15).
I am his ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20) and witness (Acts 1:8), a part of the royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), a part of Christ’s body (1 Corinthians 12:27), and God’s temple (1 Corinthians 3:16).
Though this body may die I know I have eternal life (John 3:16). I know this earth is not my home I am only a passer through (1 Peter 2:11), I am a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20).
THIS IS WHO I AM!
